
🧾 Ingredients:
- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 250 ml milk (lukewarm)
- 7 g dry yeast (or 20 g fresh yeast)
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp oil
- Oil for frying
Traditional toppings:
- 2–3 cloves garlic (crushed)
- 3–4 tbsp sour cream
- 100 g grated cheese (like mozzarella or cheddar)
- Salt (to taste)

👩🍳 Instructions:
- Activate yeast:
Mix yeast with lukewarm milk and sugar. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy. - Make the dough:
In a bowl, combine flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and oil. Knead into a soft dough. - Let it rise:
Cover and let rise for about 1 hour, until doubled in size.
- Shape the lángos:
Divide dough into equal portions (about 6–8 pieces). - Flatten each piece with your hands into a round shape (slightly thinner in the center).
- Fry:
Heat oil in a deep pan. Fry each piece for 1–2 minutes per side until golden and crispy. - Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Add toppings:
Rub warm lángos with garlic, spread sour cream, and sprinkle with cheese.
