
Crispy, golden Hungarian potato pancakes that are simple, comforting, and incredibly delicious.
Ingredients
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and grated
- 1 small onion, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 eggs
- 4 tbsp flour
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tsp sweet Hungarian paprika (optional)
- Oil for frying

Instructions
- Grate the potatoes and squeeze out excess liquid using a clean towel.
- Place potatoes in a bowl with onion and garlic.
- Add eggs, flour, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Spoon portions of the mixture into the pan and flatten slightly.
- Fry for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
- Drain on paper towels.
