Rakott Krumpli (Layered Potatoes)

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 4–5 hard-boiled eggs
  • 200–250 g smoked sausage or bacon
  • 200 ml sour cream
  • 2–3 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions:

  1. Boil potatoes, peel, and slice.
  2. Hard-boil eggs and slice. Slice sausage or fry bacon.
  3. Preheat oven to 180 °C (350 °F). Grease a baking dish.
  4. Layer potatoes, eggs, sausage/bacon, and sour cream. Repeat, finishing with potatoes and sour cream on top.
  5. Dot with butter. Cover with foil and bake 25–30 min.
  6. Remove foil and bake 10–15 min until golden.
  7. Let rest 5–10 min and serve.
