
✨ Hungarian Lecsó (Pepper Stew) ✨
🧾 Ingredients:
- 4–5 bell peppers (preferably Hungarian wax peppers), sliced
- 2 large tomatoes, chopped
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 tbsp oil or lard
- 100–150 g smoked sausage (optional)
- 1 tbsp sweet paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tsp sugar (optional)
- 2 eggs (optional)

👩🍳 Instructions:
- Heat oil or lard in a pan and sauté the onion until soft.
- Add sliced sausage (if using) and cook for a few minutes.
- Remove from heat, add paprika, and stir quickly.
- Add peppers and cook for 5–10 minutes until slightly softened.
- Add tomatoes, salt, pepper, and sugar.
- Simmer on medium heat until vegetables are tender and juicy.
- (Optional) Crack eggs into the stew and stir gently until cooked.
- Adjust seasoning and serve hot.
