Dough

Syrup

Instructions
- Make dough
Mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit 5–10 minutes. Add flour, salt, and oil. Mix into a soft sticky dough. Let rise 1 hour. - Fry
Heat oil. Drop small spoonfuls of dough into oil and fry until golden brown. - Make syrup
Warm honey + water + lemon juice together (don’t boil too hard). - Coat
Toss hot fried dough in warm syrup until fully coated. - Serve

- 1 egg
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour

- 8–10 small plums, pitted
- Sugar
- Cinnamon
Coating
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 3 tbsp butter
- Sugar for serving
Instructions
- Boil potatoes until tender. Peel and mash, then cool.
- Mix potatoes with egg, salt, and flour to form a soft dough.
- Roll dough out and cut into squares.
- Place a plum in each square and fill center with sugar and cinnamon.
- Wrap dough around plums and seal tightly.
- Boil in salted water until dumplings float, then cook 3–4 minutes more.
- Toast breadcrumbs in butter until golden.
- Roll cooked dumplings in breadcrumbs.
