Easter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

• 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• ½ teaspoon salt
• 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
• ¾ cup granulated sugar
• ¾ cup packed brown sugar
• 2 large eggs
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
• 1 cup pastel-colored M&M’s or other Easter-themed candy (optional)
• 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
