
🧾 Ingredients:
- 500 g mushrooms (sliced)
- 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
- 2 tbsp butter or oil
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1–2 tbsp Hungarian sweet paprika
- 1 tsp dried thyme (optional)
- 1 tbsp flour
- 700 ml vegetable or chicken broth
- 200 ml sour cream
- 100 ml milk (optional, for extra creaminess)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce (optional, for depth)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt and black pepper (to taste)
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)

👩🍳 Instructions:
- Sauté base:
In a pot, melt butter and cook onion until soft. - Add garlic and cook briefly.
- Cook mushrooms:
Add sliced mushrooms and cook until they release their juices and soften.
- Add paprika & flour:
Remove from heat, stir in paprika, then add flour and mix well.
- Add liquid:
Slowly pour in broth while stirring to avoid lumps. - Add thyme and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Simmer:
Cook for 15–20 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Finish creamy:
Stir in sour cream and milk (if using). - Add soy sauce and lemon juice.
- Season with salt and pepper.
