- 6 egg yolks
- 150 g sugar
- 2 packets vanilla pudding powder (or 80 g cornstarch)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the meringue layer:
- 6 egg whites
- 100 g sugar
Optional topping:
- Powdered sugar for dusting

👩🍳 Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the puff pastry sheets separately until golden and crisp. Let them cool.
- Heat most of the milk in a pot. In a bowl, whisk egg yolks, sugar, pudding powder (or cornstarch), vanilla, and remaining milk until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into the hot milk and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened into a custard.
- In another bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form, then gradually add sugar and continue beating until glossy.
- Gently fold the meringue into the hot custard until well combined and fluffy.
- Place one sheet of baked pastry in a tray, spread the warm custard evenly over it, then cover with the second pastry sheet.
- Let it cool completely, then refrigerate for a few hours until set.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
