- 700 g beef (cut into cubes)
- 2 tbsp oil or lard
- 2 large onions (chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp Hungarian sweet paprika
- 1 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
- 2 carrots (sliced)
- 2 potatoes (cubed)
- 1 tomato (chopped) or 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 green pepper (chopped)
- 1 tsp caraway seeds (optional)
- Salt and black pepper (to taste)
- 700 ml beef broth or water

๐ฉโ๐ณ Instructions:
- Heat oil in a large pot. Add onions and cook until soft and golden.
- Remove from heat and stir in paprika to avoid burning.
- Add beef and mix well to coat with the onion-paprika base.
- Return to heat, add garlic, tomato, and green pepper. Cook for a few minutes.
- Pour in broth, season with salt, pepper, and caraway seeds.
- Cover and simmer for about 60 minutes.
- Add carrots and potatoes, then continue cooking for another 30โ40 minutes until everything is tender.
