  • 300 g all-purpose flour
  • 150 g butter (cold)
  • 80 g sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • pinch of salt

Filling

  • 800 g apples (peeled, grated)
  • 80 g sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs

Top

  • powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, butter, and egg to form a dough.
  2. Divide dough into two parts and chill 20 minutes.
  3. Roll one part and place in a baking pan.
  4. Mix grated apples with sugar and cinnamon, squeeze out extra juice.
  5. Spread apples over the dough and sprinkle breadcrumbs.
  6. Roll the second dough layer and place on top.
  7. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 35–40 minutes.
  8. Cool and dust with powdered sugar before cutting.
